Sangamiththa Balika Vidyalaya was founded in 1919, committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of every student. Just as the sacred Bodhi tree has grown and flourished, our school has grown to become a towering institution of girls' education in Southern Sri Lanka.
The school's motto, "Sadhu Sabbaththa Sanwaro" — be virtuous in all things — was adopted from the outset and continues to guide every student, teacher, and parent in the school community.
